Passion & Purpose

 What do you make?
I just love this question when young interns or young athletes ask me this. I think when you become a strength and conditioning coach you have to realize that the hours are going to be long. One must have a passion and a purpose for this profession. “Stop chasing the money and start chasing the passion.” -Tony Hsieh
If one focuses on their passion and purpose, success will follow.
“Success usually comes to those who are too busy to be looking for it.” -Henry David Thoreau
To be honest, I can’t believe how long I’ve been coaching now! I think in Tony Hsieh’s book delivering happiness it really came to me. Tony dropped out of Harvard, to pursue a dream that he had 100 percent laser focus in. I’ve had a laser focus now for 15 years and counting! My passion is human performance and my purpose is to be the best coach for all of my clients/athletes that I can possibly be. I consider myself very blessed to have everything that I have achieved thus far! To repeat Henry David Thoreau “Success usually comes to those who are too busy to be looking for it.” I know one thing I am busy, are we successful? Too early to tell.
